Wire/Function

Colour

Location/Description

Polarity

12 VOLTS

White

4-pin blue plug at steering column

The wires change color on one side of this connector, verify both sides for these wires.

IGNITION

Green

4-pin blue plug at steering column

The wires change color on one side of this connector, verify both sides for these wires.

ACCESSORY

Yellow

4-pin blue plug at steering column

The wires change color on one side of this connector, verify both sides for these wires.

STARTER

WHITE/ black

4-pin blue plug at steering column

The wires change color on one side of this connector, verify both sides for these wires.

KEY SENSE

WHITE/ red

In 2-pin black plug at steering column

The wire changes to BLACK on the other side of the 2-pin connector.

TACH SIGNAL

Blue / YELLOW

In harness from ignition coils

On the 2L engine, the coils are very difficult to access. You can get a tach signal at the harness coming up the left side of the engine from 2 of the coils. See the available graphics

LOCK

RED / white

In white 20-pin plug at Body ECU

The Body ECU is located on the left side of the steering column.

UNLOCK

Yellow/red

In white 20-pin plug at Body ECU

The Body ECU is located on the left side of the steering column.

DOORPIN

Yellow

In 16-pin connector at keyless entry module

The keyless entry unit is found under the driver's side dash directly above the fusepanel. If the vehicle is not equipped with keyless entry, the white 16-pin connector can still be found here. See the available graphics.

TRUNK PIN

Yellow/red

In 16-pin connector at keyless entry module

TRUNK RELEASE

Manual release

BRAKESWITCH

WHITE/ black

At switch above brake pedal

PARKLIGHTS

Orange

In main black harness at steering column

You must test for this wire with the ignition switch turned ON.

HAND BRAKE

Pink

Below handbrake in center console

HORN

GREEN/ red

In black 5-pin plug at steering column

CLUTCH SWITCH

GREEN/ YELLOW

At connector above clutch pedal

TYPE 2

DRIVER WINDOW UP

Blue/red

On back of window switch in driver's door

REV POL

DRIVER WINDOW DOWN

Blue

On back of window switch in driver's door

REV POL

PASSENGER WINDOW UP

RED / blue

On back of window switch in driver's door

REV POL
