Good day,
I own a 2002 Pontiac montana and want to install an aftermarket radio.
Someone told me that the radio contains the computer and taht I will need a special wiring harness.
Is this true? and if it is what would be the right harness (part #)for me?
Your help is appreciated.

Leave the keys in the ignition and open your door. If you hear the door chime through the speakers then you have the databus radio. If you hear the door chime from somewhere under the dash, then you do not have the databus radio.

You just need a standard wire harness adapter then.

Thanks a lot,
Is there a wiring diagram on this site for a 2002 Montana ?
I would like something to tell me what the different wires are.

You can go to any stereo shop and spend about $ 10 for an adapter and it's WAY, WAY easier than trying to cut out the harness and wire it to your aftermarket HU.
