Hello I have fitted a new dashboard in my car from a newer model. Now the problem is I want to use the new switches but the car wiring is different. The switch has a tell tale led which lights up when the switch is pressed. However the new switch seams to work in reverse, when it's in the off position the fog lamps on my car are on and when i push the switch again the fogs go off but the tell tale led is on. I asume that the old switch was a push to make and this new one is a push to break ? Is there a way to convert push to break to push to make ? I'm new so please be gentle.
i am an idiot

You will be able to fix this with a relay.  Do you know if the output of the switch is a positive voltage?
