Hi everyone. I'm a newbie to the forums.

I have a problem with the power windows in my 1989 GMC Suburban. The front windows work. The left rear is up, and won't go down (but that's ok). The right rear is down, and won't go up (that's a problem).

I pulled the driver's door panel off..the wires for the rear windows are disconnected. I pulled the right rear door panel..I have power at one wire...I have cut the wires from the switch, and shoved them out through the hole where the window switch was located, and put the panel back on.

I now have: pink (live), blue, brown, green, PURPLE / white stripe; sticking out of the right rear door panel. I have tried (with no good luck) various combinations.

Is there a combination of wires I can join together to make the window go up?

Thanks.

i am an idiot

I didn't read your entire post.  I can tell you that there are 2 wires coming from the motor.  If you power wire A and ground wire B the motor will turn in one direction.   If you ground wire A and power wire B, the motor will go the other direction.

Welcome to the Forum,  sorry it took so long for us to help you.
