Below is about an 08 cobalt.  According to the Audiovox tech site, it is the same as the 07..

Yes it is on,   I didn't want to be the one to burst your bubble.  But since nobody else wants to burst it for you here we go.   The vehicle you purchased is a computer controlled car,  known as a DataBus system.  Years from now I think it may be a great idea.  Today, it's only purpose is to make installers pull their hair out.  I would reccomend using an Audiovox Prestige alarm system and one of their Flash Logic pieces.  Even using the correct module there will still be issues.  We worked on a car for 2 days.  When you put the car in reverse, you had a 50 50 shot at having power steering.  There were many more issues but that is the one they had the most trouble with.  Turns out there are a ton of updates that the dealership needed to do to the car's computer.  They were not real willing to help.  It was a dealership job.  The salesman misrepresented the car and told the customer it had remote start.  After the 2 days of work, we then found out that for the dealership to install the factory remote start, the cost for them would have been minimal.  1 new computer module and 2 remotes.  You may want to look into that option.    I really suggest you shop around and find a shop that has installed an alarm in one of these vehicles before.  With the flash logic piece and the alarms that they were designed to mate with, there are a lot fewer wire connections to be made, but there are the programming issues.    Good luck in whatever you do, and remember to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before doing any work on the vehicle.

Ok so I got it in, and working with only a couple small issues.  First off when I turn off the car with the key OR with the remote start the starter tries to restart,  Its not a full on crank, more like not enough power half assed attempet.  Next is its flashing the headlights and not the parking lights.  According to two different wiring diagrams I have the right wire for it, just isnt right.  Im mostly concerned with the starter thing though.  FYI it is a manual and for testing the clutch switch is tapped down to trick it (this is only to see if it would start, and isnt going to stay like that)  also the brake "kill" wire isnt hooked up.  ANY information is GREATLY apprciated.

Thanks

Sean
