I have a stock alternator in my silverado, and i am looking to set up dual batteries, with an isolator.  i can't seem to get it to work.  i don't know what's going on with the plug on the alternator, and how i hook it up to the isolator.  any help would be appreciated thanks

Is it a Solid State Isolator or a relay type isolator?

There are 3 connections on the isolator, the Charge wire from your alternator needs to be connected to the middle terminal. It needs to be removed from the battery and only connected to the middle terminal. Connect the front battery to one of the other terminals. Connect the rear battery to the other terminal.
Be aware that using this isolator will drop your battery voltage by a half of a volt.
