Hey all.
I installed a DEI remote start on my A8. I installed it according to the wiring diagram. I hooked up the alarm disable wire to the color indiated on my wiring diagram. When I try to remote start, the alarm sets its-self and then disarms.    If the car sits for more than 5 minutes the alarm goes off when trying to remote start... Any ideas anyone?
Thank you
Chris

the disarm wire should be the same wire as the unlock wire. a double pulse will unlock the car and a single pulse from the factory alarm disarm wire from the unit on the same wire should disarm. what wire did you use?

I used the BROWN / yellow wire in the driver kick panel. How do you pulse a double pulse off of the unit? It is a autostart unit from DEI. Like I said, the car locks, then unlocks when you press the start button...

i believe the wire should be BROWN / red rather than BROWN / yellow. how did it test when you measured it?
