    i am putting a 1998 454 vortec motor out of a 2500 suburban 4x4 in a 1996 chevy 1500 truck 2x2 with a 5.7 motor.  i have looked all over for the fire wall pin locations for both vehicles.  if anyone could point me in the right dirrection i would appreate it.  as a new-be to the sit i am trying to find my way around.  thanks for any informaqtion anyone can give me.

What wiring pins are you looking for?  Believe both ecu are under the air filter.  The rest of wires go through the main harness into the cab to left of steereing colum.

the ones at the fir wall where you nuplug the harness. the computers is diffrent and even though the wire colors ar the sme they are located in diffrent potions on the plug block.  the 454 plug has 3 exra plugs whitch i belive is for the 4x4 control but the harness in my truck has 2 wires that the 454 harness does not have.  i need to find out what these are so that i can change them around.  thanks
