1995 camry outside elect mirrors

The way the mirror should work is as follows.  One wire has to be common between both motors in the mirror.  One wire will be the up and down motor, the other wire will be the left and right motor.  The Common wire should read the same resistance to each of the other 2 wires.  Once you find the common wire, get a couple pieces of wire and a 3 amp fuse and a fuse holder.  Install the fuse holder on the wire that you connect to the positive terminal of your battery, or 12 volt power supply, this is just to identify wires on the mirror, it is not to be installed in the vehicle.  Connect the common wire to the negative terminal of the battery.  Now briefly touch the fused power wire to one of the wires of the mirror, watch the mirror for movement.  Now briefly touch the fused power wire to the other wire, notice which way that makes the mirror move.  Now disconnect all wires from the mirror, now connect the fused power wire to the common wire, then briefly touch the ground wire to one of the other wires.  Notice the movement of the mirror.  Then briefly touch the ground wire to the third wire, notice the direction.  When touching the third wire, disconnect from the second wire.  You only use 2 wires at a time. 

Let me know if you have all 4 directions of movement.

Have you used a meter yet to see if you can identify the common wire?  I do not have a schematic, but if you are willing to do a little footwork, I am sure I can figure it out.  Is there a mounting hole that could possibly act as a ground contact for the switch?
