03 yukon denali with bose and nav

I am looking for the wiring diagram for the external 6 disc changer on a 2003 Yukon Denali XL with Nav, Bose and rear factory DVD. I am wanting to remove the external 6 disc changer and tap its audio feed into the radio to add some other type of audio input. Is this possible or does it send the audio information back to the radio some other way? What I would like to do is be able to convert the signal out of the changer to an RCA connection and have it hook to a carputer or something similar.

It has been a while but I thought there was a left and right audio channel coming out of the changer. You could make an audio selector and switch between your changer and an AUX input. 3.5mm jack would work well. You can make the selector from 2 relays or one DPDT relay. Look at the plug going into the changer. There should be a bare wire that has a clear insulation over it, that was the audio ground. You could probably test with a meter to find the other 2 wires. Leaving the changer hooked up is the easiest, I am unsure how the radio switches to CD input. If its simply a button or if there is some switch via data between the two units.

The radio has a button to switch to the changer.  I plan to do away with the changer all together since it has no MP3 capabilities.

You should try to switch to the changer input with the changer unplugged. See if you can still select that input. This will determine if you will need additional wires hooked up besides just R/L audio to maintain the ability to switch to changer input.

You can not eliminate the changer.  Without it's communication protocol, the deck will not change to that input.  That is why  the Aux input adapters are so pricey.  You will have to either follow the suggestion above, or purchase an Aux in module for that radio.  Pac-audio.com and Metra both make interfaces for that vehicle.

Most of the interfaces that I have seen use the XM input as a source and you lose one of your two XM sources as an input for the XM radio. I would like to keep both XM inputs and make the CD changer as my aux input. Do you know if there is a way to make one of the adapters use the CD source instead of the XM source as the AUX input?
