audi a4 tdi 1996 avant estate

As a new member I have tried to search through the forum subjects to try to find existing info about the wiring diagrams and relay locations associated with my car.....Audi A4 TDi Avant Estate 1996....But to no avail.

What I am specifically looking for are the diagrams for the rear wiper control, the colour coded wires and what they do, the location of the relay(s) and which side of the tailgate the feed comes from. I have replaced the actual wiper motor, and the rear washer does work..but not the wiper..!

Any help will be most appreciated, and apologies if I have not found the existing fault finding references.

I have already been able to locate the main fuse box which is behind a plastic panel at the end of the dashboard on the driver's side. This is only accessible when the door is opened. However, I do not know where the specific relays are situated.

However, after looking again at the latest threads I cannot find any diagrams at all for the Audi A4 1996 TDi Avant Estate. Having experienced wires that crack in an older Audi 80 TDi tailgate, I would really like to find out which side the wiper wiring is fed from before I have to cut the rubber grommet etc to get at them and to identify the colour coding etc.
