Hi im new here. I have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee. I have hooked up the input to the output wires on the factiry infinity amp. And im not getting any sound. What do i do with the other wires on the input side of the amp? (x2 ground wires,x2 fused b+ wires, x1 enable signal to amp wire). I have replaced all four door speakers. They were working with the factory head unit. Before i cut the wires on the amp i hooked up a new pioneer head unit. It turned on and had power. But no speaker sound. I just wanted to make sure i had power to the hu. so now that i have removed the infinity amp and soldered the in and out speaker wires together, im getting no sound and the pioneer hu isnt turning on now. What else do i need to do?

I also put connectors on the two ground wires going into the input side of the amp and then screwed them to the steel undetneeth where the amp was mounted. And yes i sanded the paint off first to get a good ground connection.

Wire directly from the Pioneer speaker outputs to the amp's speaker outputs OR use a Metra etc. adaptor. 70-6057

@ howie ll- thanks for the quick reply. I am wired from the poineer hu harness to an after market harness and that plugs into my factory jeep harness. I have read in a few other places that all you have to do to bypass the factory infinity amp is cut the harnesses off and connect the input + and - wires to the output + and - wires. I did that. I still need to know what to do with the other wires from the input side of the amp that i mentioned in my first post. Are you saying i have to run new speaker wire directly from the pioneers harness to the speakers? I think that is unnessasary. Thanks again for your help.

Not sure but Metra do list an "amp by-pass" lead for this set-up.
It might be worth a phone call to their tech. dept.
