 Hey 12volt i need some help i fell real dumb i hooked a new head unit in a 2000 cavalier that was a chore. Now the dash is not working i thought i hooked everything up but it says theft system and the all the gauges don't work and the mileage dosn't compute what did i do wrong  also the radio doesn't turn off with the car it always stays on since the harness didn't have a power wire i had to wire it to something else any help will be great

Hey Tim, did you use a harness for the installation or did you cut the OEM plug out and hard wire the new HU to the cut wires ?

yes i did the harness ran from the front to back i had to hook up the factory deck back there but in the instruction for the harness it says to hook up two  wire under the steering wheel and i can't find wires to hook that part to
