Hello, I have the "Display Audio with Navigation and Entune" head unit which is optional on the SE and XLE trims and standard on the V6 editions of the same trim levels. I do not have the JBL upgrade.
I would like to find out if there are preamp outputs on this deck. I think this same deck is used with the JBL upgrade which includes an amp so hopefully they exist somewhere.
I pulled the deck and the model is Pioneer CVH-2118 but I can't find anything online about it.
Thank you in advance

If it does have preamp level outputs to drive an OEM amplifier, it will not have nearly enough signal to properly drive an aftermarket amplifier.

I know a lot of OEM amps actually use speaker level inputs, because it's cheaper and most people don't know the difference, so that is another possibility, but if anyone has the data please share the wiring info for this head unit.
I doubt there is an 8v preamp on this thing but if there is even a 1v or 2v I would rather use that than speaker inputs.
Thanks in advance

I have never seen an OEM deck with over 1/2 volt on the preouts. Most are around 150 millivolts.

Wow, thanks for the info, in that case I would be better off with speaker level vs. maxing out the amp gain trying to listen to that tiny whisper
