Sorry, I had the incorrect subject on my last topic..
Any help..greatly appreciated, I have the ADS-Blade flashed with the latest firmware for my vehicle.. having trouble with the programming but am also wondering which wires i actually need from the compustar remote start..
Hello,
I am looking for wiring diagrams for a compustar remote start installation with an idatalink ADS-Blade. I have heard I only need to connect power, etc and that the bypass module will handle everything else.. is this true?

Fairly similar to the Highlander.  Here is a link to the ADS Blade AL with Blade AL(DL) TL2 firmware install guide :

http://www.idatalink.com/support/get-install-guide/guide_id/6747   See the Type 2 install diagram and notices.

Don't attempt to program the Blade to the vehicle until all the wires are correctly connected.  You might have to do a

Factory Reset ( Page 11 ) on the Blade module first and then the programming procedure.

Soldering is fun!

I understand which wires from the Blade harness need connected, but I'm also trying to determine which ones from the compustar CN1 hardness need connected. Anymore info would be greatly appreciated. Also, the programming instructions for the blade are rather bland, it mentions "notice the button" but does not say press it, and, how long... order of when to press push to start, etc.
Thanks

With the Compustar connected to power & chassis ground, unplug the Blades connector, CN3.  Slide the Blade cartridge

out of its' slot.  Press & hold the Blade button by its' LED and slide the cartridge back into position.  As soon as
the LED starts to flash red, release the button.  The LED should go steady red for two seconds.  Reconnect the CN3
harness and program to the vehicle ( Page 10 ).

ok, progressing quite well, but I have one problem.
When I have tach engine sensing programmed into the compustar, it doesn't start, i get an error "Start error 1: motor running or learn tach."
When I have no tach configured in the compustar programming, it starts, but shuts off within 15 seconds..
Any ideas? otherwise, locks work and every

Did the Blade program properly to the vehicle?

Did you program the Compustar to Tach Mode (  2-10 Opt 1 )

Did you do the Compustar Tach Learn process?

Learn tach by: (1.) Starting the vehicle with the key, (2.) Press and hold the foot brake, then (3.) Activate the

remote start sequence - one chirp and parking light flash indicates that the vehicle tach signal has been
successfully learned. Three chirps and three parking light flashes indicate that the control module failed to
see a proper tachometer signal.
