2012 honda civic trunk release

I am trying to hook up trunk release on 2012 Honda Civic thru an alarm Carvox 3008X-C wiring diagram says 5 wire under polarity so I am assuming a relay is needed. when I test the green wire at pin 7, and press trunk release on factory key fob I get a 12v then spike to 50v and ground at rest. I have a positive output for trunk release on the alarm and also a negative out on the auxiliary channel. Can anyone tell me what relay is needed and how to wire up? Also is it possible to use the + output to power the relay?

Audiovox has the same wire, but they say nothing about it being 5 wire. Place a 3 amp fuse in a fuse holder and use that to place 12 volts on that wire. If it unlatches the trunk and does not blow the fuse, then you do not need a relay. If you have access to a 1/4 amp fuse, then try that one. If it does not blow that fuse, then you will not even need a relay. It rests at ground because you see ground from the other side of the coil of the OEM relay. The 50 volt spike you see is the backlash of the relay coil.

looks like I will need a relay as the 3 amp fus blew. Do you know how to wire one up for this?

Positive out of your alarm to 86, ground to 85. Cut the green wire, connect the end that goes to the back of the car to 30, The other freshly cut end to 87A. Apply fused 12 volts to 87. If this still blows the fuse, it may be the high current wire that actually feeds the solenoid. Audiovox would normally advertise this as a high current wire. They did not mention that. Did you see anything about High Current where you got your info? If so, you may want to fuse it according to their info. If they did not mention high current, keep the 3 amp fuse in until some of our hands on members can assist.

I did not see anything other than 5 wire under polarity from direct wire. I was afraid I would have to use this config for a relay , but thought I'd ask someone else before I cut this wire since it was in aparticularly bad location. only other info is trunk release use trunk motor and this wire is listed at pin 7. I'll try this and let you know. Thanks Idiot.
