Hello and forgive me if this has been posted before I searched and couldnt find anything about it.
I want to install my Escort hard wire kit into my Dodge Dart but like with all the newer vehicles finding an accessory wire is like a finding a needle in a haystack.
According to the DEI wiring information it states the accessory wire is (-) but for accessory sense only.
My question is can this be used to power a relay or has anyone tried it?
85 - the (-) accessory sense wire
86 - 12 volt
87 - 12 volt
30 - Output
Thanks

Theoretically that should work.
Don't you have an (+) ignition wire, say at fusebox you can use, removing the need for a relay?

Is there a power outlet in the console? Mopar shows a pink / YELLOW as a fused ignition/accessory there.

I do not know about the Dart, but it is common practice for Chrysler to have 2 positions for that fuse in the fusebox. One position is constant and the other will provide switched power to the outlets. Read the last post in this thread.
