Ford superduty F350 2017
I am looking for some help with a wire I found that was striped of it's coding and then they put black electrical tape on it from the factory. Behind the glove box I noticed that there was a wire that was not protected all the way to the plugin, it was bare for about 1/2 inch away from the plug. When I cut the wire bundle apart, the electrical taped wire keeps going in the bundle of wires and then though the vehicle. See photo. What does this wire go too? Will I have problems in the future? 2017 Ford F-350 Wire Diagram -- posted image. 2017 Ford F-350 Wire Diagram -- posted image.

It appears to be the shield of a coaxial type cable. Strip the red tape back to verify. If it is the shield part of a cable, this is normal.

Thanks for responding but I am the one that put the red tape on. I traced it back and it is hand taped with black electrical tape into the truck. I put the red tape on to protect the wires.
