I was looking at the KFC-XW1025dB subs and they looked interesting for my kac-x401m mono amp to run.  Has anyone had any luck with these???  Has anyone heard any other kenwood subs? Do they sound ok?

I've not heard these particular subs but just the other day we had a customer with two 12" kenwood subs (not sure which model number but they weren't anything too fancy).  They hit pretty hard though and I was kinda surprised actually at how good they sounded.

Main thing to make sure about is selecting an enclosure that is the ideal size/type recommended by kenwood, and that it's a good solid enclosure.  And of course make sure it's properly installed and the amplifier powering the sub(s) has sufficient power output and that it's adjusted properly (low-pass x-over frequency, gain, bass boost, etc.
