I've installed an after market stereo with 800w amp.  I know about hooking up the remote lead to the factory amp, but I had to hook up a toggle switch for my sub amp.  Is there any other way to hook up my sub amp without using a toggle switch.  I've tried to use the remote lead but it draws too much current and cuts out the factory amp producing no sound.  I just want to get rid of that toggle switch (big pain).

Use the SWITCHED IGNITION wire from the radio or the ignition harness to power on the amplifier.
