Hey Irnotslow, did your highlander have a transponder in the keys? Just curious since I did not have one. I did not get the base model so I am wondering why and want to know a little more before asking my dealer.
How did your install go?

markcars,

the install went very well. the key head is a little thicker than most heads. Also if you remove the steering colum clam shell. folow the lock cynlinder from the light ring to the floor. you shoud see a yellow sticker, below that is a harness ( my plug was black) with about 5-7 wires sid by side. If unplus them and then try to start you car it should not start. it will however turn over.  These wire are also used for the transponder by-pass. You will also ned to conect the key-sense wire, it is on a 4 or two wire harnes near the cylinder. it is the OLNY wire that wil show 12 or less volts with the key OUT, when you insert the key it wil show 0

How did you do the door locks? And the door-lock detection? I am still not complete with my install.
Also did you have 2 ignition outputs from your RS or just 1? I have 1 and need to make 2 now. I guess more fun next weekend!
