I'm installing a remote start on an Expedition and the truck will attempt to start three times. Each time it cranks a little longer. I think the problem lies with the PATS security system. The wiring info I have says the wire I need to locate to shut off the system to start is green and purple? I've looked everywhere! Any suggestions, am I on the right track? Thanks, Ryan

That vehicle is equipped with the PATS system which means you need a bypass. You can either use a key in the box type bypass or a ford specifc bypass that doesn't require a key. To test this just stick your key in the ignition cylinder (don't turn it) and try to remote start it. If it works, then that's your problem. The green / purple wire your thinking of would be to disarm the factory alarm which is completely unrelated to your problem. Good luck,
Mike
