Hi,
Car = 1993 Honda Civic Si
My stereo was stolen recently, so I bought a new head unit and hooked it up. All was well, but my FM reception sucked so I bought a new connector and proceeded to wire it in. I "accidentally" shorted the +12v battery wire.
Now, my clock is dim and my head unit doesn't work. I checked all fuses under dash and on head unit - they are cool. I verified head unit works by hooking up the battery wire to the ACC +12v and the head unit works.
I tested the battery wire and found insufficient voltage. (Must be leaking somewhere) So - I need a new constant +12V power source. Can anyone help?

Replace the fuse for the clock and the radio. This should solve the problem. It's a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel of the car.

Yeah, I went through all of the fuses they are all good. I tried to find the one that is for the clock specifically by leaving the car on (engine not running) and removing the 10amp fuses but the clock never went out.

Do you happen to know which one it is? The fuse guide does not specifically indicate it.

The radio fuse may be under the hood. I know the fuse for the radio on some HOnda's are under the hood. Check it out there.

You were right. I found one partially blown 7.5v fuse. Replaced and I was back in business!
