Howdy,

Just in the process of installing my alpine HU into this car, guesse I should have looked all this up before I started....Got a few questions now:

1) Could someone please tell me the the stereo wire color codes, if not, besides the speakers wires and power/ground, what are the two purple, brown, grey and green wires for ? ( spent a couple hours searchin the net with no luck )

2) Where exactly is the ignition harness ? or another easy to get at(and to the HU) ignition wire ? and its ok to use this for a remote turn on ?

3)where is the factory amp located, and would it be possible to bypass it myself so I dont need to run new speaker wires for the speakers to work

4)Is there a suitable hole in the firewall for 4awg wire, if not where should I make one ?

Thank you !!!!

First of all you should spend just a few bucks and buy a wire harness for this vehicle. It would eliminate that couple hours you spent and would have taken care of both questions 1 and 2.

The ignition harness is usually on the underside of the steering column.

Let us know where your at with this now and if you still need help.

If you havent installed it yet do yourself a favor and buy a harness.

As far as question 3 I have no idea where its at.

Question 4 I always make a hole on the drivers side down to the left of the steering column on vehicles.    Obviously make sure you check both sides carefullly so you dont drill through anything.
