Where can I locate the VSS wire on this truck?? 2004 S10 Extreme 4.3l I have searched the forum for hours and cant find a answer.. I need this for a pioneer navigation {AVIC n1}

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Look for a LT.BLUE/WHITE wire at the BCM. The BCM is located in the center console below the radio. It's the LT.BLUE plug pin B1

this truck has no center console,, what is a bcm???

The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the center of the dash behind the under dash black cover panels. The plugs are near the gas pedal. The VSS wire is in cavity B1 of the light blue center plug. The wire is dark GREEN / WHITE.

OK I found the right plug!! And Location B1 is a dark GREEN/ white wire.. But, I put a test light on this wire and drove the truck. It did not light up... Shouldnt the wire have a positive charge when the car is in foward motion??? PLEaSe HelP

Just my 2 cents worth, But Per Pioneer tech, If you are using a newer Nav system such as the Avic 1 the VSS wire is not needed at all. Have Done Numerous installs of this unit IN RV applications were VSS would have been Nightmarish to find and have had No troubles what so ever.

Take your test light light and throw it away. If you haven't blown the BCM yet, use a digital volt meter. Set it on an A/C voltage scale to get a reading. Trust me. It's the correct wire. Test lights will cause serious and I mean SERIOUS damage to any car's electrical system if the user starts probing wires. Only use a digital VOM.
