im looking for the wiring  color codes for the stereo ofor my 79 bonneville i've seen a couple but dont  think they're right because my cd player still wont hold memory

I dont see a diagram here for that car. If I were you and memory is your only problem then I would just hook the yellow memory lead to a constant power source. There should be a fuse already inline. I would look in the fuse box for an open spot labeled pwr or use a meter to find a hot spot then put a spade terminal on it and plug it in there. I have done this many times before wiring harnesses became popular.

Thanks i thought that might work myself but was a little shakey about trying but it did solve my problem
