Hello I am Looking for any advice I can get on by-passing  the transponder in a 2002 Ford Sport Trac I tried a universal bypass module from designtech but it didnt work. Then I cut the head off my spare and buried it up in the column and that worked. Now I can only start it with the remote start my other key doesnt work. Does anyone have any ideas????????

The two transponder pellets are cancelling each other out when you try to use both pellets together. When you cut the pellet out of the other key to install into the column, did you still use the Design Tech  module ? or did you just put it inline of the PATS ?

instead of having my customers buy an expensive bypass module I use a "key wrap" to get around those pesky transponders.  Using a 5 foot length of 20 gauge wire, leaving about 2 feet of excess, wrap the wire around the plastic end of the key where the transponder pellet is 6-8 times and tape it securely.  Then take the plastic covers off the steering column.  Take the long section of wire and wrap the key cylinder 6-8 times as well and secure with tape, wire tie, glue, however you can.  You should now have 2 ends of wire with the key and key cylinder wrapped in between.  Connect each end to pin 30 and 87 of a relay.  Pin 85 to 12v constant and 86 to ground when running from remote start.  Good luck.
