can I remove the ECM in truck?

This is actually for a buddy.  He has a 1994 Chevy half ton.  no airbags.  He is trying to change out his fan blower motor and the ECM is connected to the frame.  Can he remove the ECM and then reinstall it with no problems?  We figured he could, but thought we would just see if anyone knew of other complications that might arise from taking the ECM out.

shouldnt be a problem. make sure you disconnect the battery first.
