looking for the wiring diagram befor ei go cutting wirres that may not work. the guy wants to keep his old cd player so i need the diagram on how to connect a low input convertor and what wire to connect the remote to.

I suggest going down to your local electronics store and getting a Metra or AI wiring harness for the 2001 Eclipse and getting the wire codes off that. When your done, just return the unopened package and tell them that you you didn't need it. wirning diagram for 2001 ecplise radio -- posted image.
