i am installing a sony xplod CDX-R3410s into a 1990 kf laser, it went in alright but there is one wire left over , nad the unit only lights up for a short period of time, and sometimes the unit doesnt light up at all

any help would be appreciated, thankyou

Check your grounding, +12V Power, and +12V remote wire and that they are loosely connected.
