Hello friends,
I recently installed a DVD & In-dash TV into my 2000 Jetta. The installation went fine but I notice that there is a lost of power in my acceleration and battery drainage if I have not driven it in a while (no driving in one weekend would require a jump-start). Please advice as to where/what I may have mistakenly connected. I also cut the wire harness and do not know where the factory harness is (dump me I know). Does this have anything to do with the factory amp in the trunk as the problem remedy itself if I unplug it?
Thanks for reading and hopeful someone can give me a hand. Wiring diagrams (beside the one posted in this forum already) or idea as to how to bypass the factory amp would be helpful.

I'm going to guess that you wired something constant, which is causing it to run all the time, IE that factory amp, or the TV tuner. The constant draw when the car is off would suck your battery dry in no time.
