FYI, you can do a remote start in these cars (manual shift) with the hook up of one wire at the cars ECU. A wire shows ground when in gear, positive when in neutral. Can be hooked up to remote starters hood pin input. Remote start will think hood is open when car is in gear and will prevent it from remote starting.No need to do the setup routine on typical manual remote starters.

Relay 1:

86: +12v85: (-) when remote started87: + 12v30: to 86 of relay 2Relay 286: to 30 of relay 185: GREEN/ black neutral position wire of vehicle87: to 86 of relay 230: to reverse (+) shutdown input of remote start

GREEN/ Blk in ECU top plug reading 12v in neutral and - in gear.

this 2 relay setup would appear to work with the clifford line of alarms that have a ground out while remote start and the reverse light check.

for dei viper etc... there's a neutral safety wire that needs to see ground before remote start would be allowed.

Pin 85: remote start out - H3/1 Blue Status Output Viper 550esp

Pin 86: 12 voltPin 87: neutral wire off ECUPin 30: neutral safety wire off Viper 550esp H3/6 BLACK/ White Viper 550esp

The relay will only activate if the Viper 550esp sends a ground out when the remote start is enabled.  You could directly tap the neutral wire off the ECU to the neutral safety wire off the Viper 550esp.  I've read that some installers had problems getting a good ground signal from the neutral wire off the ECU and others who had fried their neutral safety switch off the WRX.

netZ,That one relay setup would not work. You need to use either 2 relays to a reverse/neutral safety input or just connect to the hood input.
