my head lights are no longer folding down they turn on and off just fine just wont clos any ideas.

you may want to check your fuses; always a good place to start troubleshooting. Of course it could be bad motors; used to happen on the old vettes all the time; I think this is why I see so many miatas driving around with the headlights up; or winking at ya.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

thats the deal all fuses are good and both lights quit at the same time. cant be motors i wouldnt think

Sounds like you burnt up the Dyolectic diffuser module. It is a common problem when there has been a severe load on circuits related to the headlights. The module is around $700 from mazda, or you may be able to find one in a salvage yard. Good luck.
