2000 RAV4 - tach wire and wiring diagram

Would anybody know where the tachometer wire and park lights are located for a RAV4 2000 vehicle. I'm installing a Prostart car starter, and don't know where to connect the tach and park lights. Also, if anybody can provide me a wiring diagram for a car starter for a RAV4 2000. This is what I've found so far using a multimeter, and turning the ignition key, and pressing on the brake pedal:

At Ignition Harness:

grey / black / white stripe - IGN +12V

grey / black / red stripe - +12V  ( always )

grey / red - starter

grey / black / orange stripe - IGN +12V

grey / blue / red stripe - ACC +12V

grey / white - +12V ( always )

Brake Pedal: white stripe / green

The only place I could find a tachometer wire was at the tach meter itself. The wire is colored black, and has +12VDC, and 7.3VAC. I'm thinking of adding a series capacitor to block the +12VDC. This voltage comes on when the engine is started. I've checked at the ignition coils on the engine, and the injectors, but only measure 0.63VAC. The prostart starter needs 1.2VAC minimum, 1.5Hz.

I also ran the +12VDC two power wires from the prostart starter unit directly to the battery + terminal. I could find a good location under the dash.

Any information would be much appreciated.

You can also find the tach at the coil....same color. Parking lights.....green wire blue plug near stearing column...POS(+)

Hi all,

I've installed my car starter and it works fine. But I wasn't able to find the tachometer wire at the ECM module nor on the ignition coil. So I connected the Prostart Tachometer purple wire to the Tachometer meter in the dash directly ( IG Terminal, black wire ). I inserted a 2uF bypass capacitor to block the +12VDC that was present on this wire, from the car starter. I was measuring about 7VAC signal on the multimeter. Worked okay.

I've found multiple wires for the park lights ( all grey dot on green ). I found one wire for the rear lights, one for the front amber lights, and a third which appeared to be the dash lights. So I connected all the wires together, using diodes ( to prevent reverse feedback of power ), to the Prostart starter park light wire. Again, everything worked okay. The green wires were found on the driver side plug connectors using a multimeter, the rear light wire was on one connector, and the two front and dash lights were found together on a second connector.
