Hey everybody. I need some help!
I've got a Scytek galaxy 2000RS remote start add-on module installed in an 01 Dodge Dakota with factory keyless entry.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the lock pulses to start the vehicle. The WHITE/ green wire in the central timer module is the lock/unlock. When the remote start is wired to the WHITE/ green wire nothing happens when you lock the the doors 3 times. I've tested the remote start by tapping ground 3 times and it starts. So is it not getting a true ground from the lock/unlock? There are 3 different settings for pulse length in the remote start module.
Any ideas?

It's definitely not going to work off of the factory lock/unlock wire, since that wire goes through resistors. Try hooking it up to the lock motor lead instead. You may also need a relay to get a (-) output from the lock motor lead, which you could hook up as follows:
85, 87 - ground
86 - lock motor lead
30 - remote start 3 pulse wire.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks! I've been super busy and my sister in law is waiting for me to finish her truck. This saves me some time knowing exactly what I need to do. Now I've just got to figure out which is the lock wire. I can try to test it. It would make sense if it were in the same plug. Would you know which wire is the lock motor lead? I could try to get ahold of a repair manual if not.

ORANGE / black stripe, Connector 2, pin 4 at the central timer module...should read ground normally and go to 12v+ when lock is pressed.
