I think I finally came to the right place. The stereo was stolen out of my 94 Ford explorer sport 4x4. The wiring harness was cut to obviously increase the ease of removal. :)  Now I have a new stereo and aftermarket harness but nowhere to plug it in. I've already checked through the info provided but the wires are not the colors I'm seeing. I must have the premium system with amp. Date on VIN says Nov. 1994 but body style is a 94. I have harness info for 92, 93, and 96 explorers. None of these are what I need. I will hardwire this deck myself but could use a little knowledge. What wires go where? Do I Need the factory amp if there is 1?  I am not installing my own amp at this time - Just some tunes would be nice at this point. I humbly ask any for any info that will assist me in wiring.  Thank you in advance -

what you can do to save you time and money. since you dont have the factory radio conector you might wana find out wich wires are (+) positive and negative(-)  and power up your hu  then what you do  (gotta be real careful dont let the wires tuch) is strip all the rest of the wires and strip only one of the speaker outputs from your radio and test one by one until you figure out wich one is wich good luck

Thank you for the information. There is a problem with the memory wire so we have to run 1 separate. Ran my own speaker wires. Everthing works. I appreciate your reply.
