92 Lexus SC300 stereo wiring

Sorry, the link must be "protected" somehow. Regardless, the schematic probably would have looked like rainbow pasta to you, unless you are a lexus engineer or used to insanely difficult to read diagrams. It was a struggle for me to make it out and I do stuff like this on a daily basis.

This vehicle is not  "basic" deck swap material.

First off, can you find a mounting kit for it, or fiberglassing a custom dash? I have not been able to locate much of any info about that year/model lexus...except alot of "n/a" and "no fit", usually not good news.

Second, there is an amp located under the factory CD changer. You most likely will need to "bypass" that, I don't think there is an integration harness available for that vehicle and without more info I won't be able to safely advise you on how to integrate..If you don't already know this..bypassing requires extending all the speaker wires from the factory amp to the dash area...or running all new wires to each speaker, not too bad but not a day at the beach either.

And third, if you really want to attempt this yourself and are lost, get back to me and let me know exactly which factory system you have I perhaps I can be of more help. However, if you are not used to doing a job like this it might not be a bad idea to seek help from a pro installer in your area.

ok, is this pioneer factory or aftermarket?

I will assume factory. If the premium harness works thats fine, it's not really hard to find, I stock them as well. Don't remember the part # but it's metra. No one else lists this and for some reason I can not get on metras website to verify. I didn't think that harness would work on a 92..but I could be wrong.

If so, you want a deck with front and rear preouts as the harness uses rca's. otherwise you can "y" adapt it but you will lose fader.

Do you have a kit for the dash? I can't seem to locate any info about this.
