I have a TRC remote starter model ZR-25.  I would like the wiring diagram to install it.  All I really want to use is the remote starter capabilities for it. but everyone keep talking about a DEI module.  Do I need this, and if I do, what does it do, and where does it go?  I am lost, please help.

first off, the DEI part # is 1100f....there are other brands that make the same thing and will cost u less......crimestopper has the cs-tata. this is how it works......... basically your key sends a signal to the PATS system in the vehicle, allowing the vehicle to start. if you try to remote start without that same signal, the vehicle will not run, so the module basically tricks the PATS system into thinking there is a key in the ignition on remote start. Depending on the module u buy you might need a key cut and programmed that will go in the module. the bypass itself is a little box that goes under the dash, and a ring that goes around ur ignition cylinder.
