panal lights dont turn on

im trying to install a new car stereo for my 1997 honda accord and i cut the wires from the old plug so that i can hook the new plug with wires to the old wires. now after i did that my clock light doesnt come on unless i push the button like if my car was turned off. my reverse, nuetral, and drive lights below where the handle is to select which one you want to put it in. the air and heater lights wont work except the green led ones and the the lights where the speed and gas info and stuff is those lights dont come on eather what do i need to do to fix that somebody let me know asap thanks and sorry if i gave a poor explanation i dont know much about cars.

Sounds like you shorted out your illumintaion wire by cutting that harness. First step it to check your fuses.

i checked the fuses and they are all fine what else should i look for?
