bought from a wholeseller an 02 avalanche with viper 476 remote start got home and realized it had a remote start when i hit both lock and unlock buttons the truck will turn over and die then try to start again and die looking at the manuel it suggests that it has a valet switch under the dash can't find it wondering if someone out there knows whats wrong

If it was the valet it would not even crank. The unit is probably lookin for a tach signal or needs to be programed for voltage sense. Check the manual and see if it tells you how to set up voltage sensing.
