I want to replace my stock CD player (not the Rockford) on my new Sentra. The only catch is I have a H.U.D. which displays information such as MPG/DTE/Avg. Speed/Hours, and the time. All of that information is controlled, and manipulated by the CD player. If my words are confusing here is a picture

What I'm asking is there a way to replace my stock CD player, with an after market, yet maintain all the functionality of my H.U.D.?

I was wondering the same thing. Does the head unit really control the "Drive Computer"? I thought it would be controlled by something else...If thats so - that sucks! I am buying a Sentra in December with that Drive Computer (gotta have the outside temp!).  I am looking at adding a double DIN Navigation system. That would mess up my plans....

So nobody knows how to fix this? Surely somebody has some insight. Wonder if the "Trip computer" even will power on at all of the factory radio is uninstalled? Thats pretty cheap if the trip computer's board is in the radio. Somebody would have to make some kind of keypad to take the place of the buttons that the TC uses that are on the radio..Help?
