I purchased my truck several years ago with a Karr Alarm from the dealership.
1) I've noticed that every time after I arm the system, the dome light stays on for 20-30 seconds and then the alarm chirps again after the lights turns off; and
2) If I push in the "dome light override" button (turn of dome lights) and arm my system, the alarm won't sound/activate when I open the door(s).
Questions:
So (1) is there a way to have the dome lights turn off immediately once the door(s) close? (I prefer to have the dome lights activate when I disarm it); and second, I believe something is wrong with (2). What can I do to fix that problem? Is it faulty wiring?

DOOR TRIGGER See NOTE * 2  @ BCM, See NOTE *1   14301_S-SERIES-PICKUP_(-) NEGATIVE DOOR PIN ISOLATION CIRCUIT.pdf
DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION WHITE (-), Requires #775 Relay  @ UNDER DASH LIGHT
NOTES
NOTE *1 the BCM (Body Control Module) is located to the RIGHT of the Gas Pedal, attached to the Heater box. The BCM has 3 Plugs that face the Drivers side of the Vehicle. On the BCM is printed the colors of the 3 plugs, PURPLE, BLUE and BROWN
NOTE *2 This vehicle has (2) door trigger wires, the TAN (-) at the PURPLE Plug, Pin B4 is for the DRIVERS DOOR, and the ORANGE (-) at the PURPLE Plug, Pin B2 is for the PASSENGER DOOR. When installing an ALARM SYSTEM, use BOTH DOOR TRIGGER wires and DIODE ISOLATE. to connect,                                                                                                                                             Alarm`s door trigger input must be connected to door trigger, but not connected to dome light overrid button.

Thanks Kola7126! That helped. Am gonna go ahead and try it this way.
For the door triggers, are they a negative input? if so, for the diode, does the cathode face towards the BCM?
May i have a link the to the pdf file? this one is not working?
Thanks again for your help.
