I'm trying to install a Add-On Remote Start to my 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I got all the wires installed correctly; however, when I try to use my factory remotes the unit does not activate. If I ground the wire from the remote start that is suppose to be connected to a negative door lock trigger it does activate; however, when connected to the lock trigger wire it doesn't work. Does anyone know what is the correct wire? I'm connected to the Pink/Black lock wire... also, tried Yellow/Black, the unlock wire... no sucess.. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

What brand remote starter is it? You may need to use a relay or set of relays to create another channel. Look up channel creator.

Did you test these wires to see if they go to ground when activated ? Also, where did you tap into these wires as far as location ? DKP or BCM, WHITE 20 pin plug, pin 3 is the door lock wire and same wire color as you have listed above.

Okay... All... I was tapping into the Pink/Black wire on the Driver Kick Panel. It never worked... but surprising enough... every time you lock/unlock the doors the lights flash and there is a pink (-) wire in the DKP that I tapped into and it provides a perfect solution.
