Is there anywhere in the vehicle that you can pick up the vss signal in the 94 explorer? I know its a gray/black wire.

I don't know for sure, but it's probably right....alot of ford vss wires are grey/black. That would be outside under the hood though. Who knows, the one I listed could be wrong also....but it's a good starting point.

Update!! I found the wire in the big harness right above the e-brake pedal. It was the gray/black wire. I could not find the purple one listed at the location specified.
