I recently installed my cva 1005, but when I tried to hook up an xbox to the inputs on the brain the screen read "picture off for your safety". Now Im in park and the ebrake is up and Ive tried doing the foot brake ebrake thing but still shows nothing.  Im getting the sound, but no picture.  Did I hook something up wrong?  I did notice on the wiring diagram that it said the yellow blue wire is the park brake wire. What do I hook that up too and is that my problem.

Sorry this is so long Its just starting to bug me.

Thanks, JP

The yellow/black wire has to be connected to the positive output of your brake pedal switch.
The yellow/blue wire needs to be connected to your emergency brake switch.
After both of those wires are connected properly, there is a sequence that needs to be followed to get your screen to show video.
The sequence is as follows: Press and hold down your brake pedal. Briefly apply the parking brake, release it then reapply and leave on. Now release the brake pedal.

Thanks!  So couple more Q's.  What is the yellow/black wire?  Also the foot brake wire is the three wires that connect from the deck to the brain right?  Also do I just run a long wire from the yellow blue all the way to the ebrake? And the do I just tap into that wire?

The yellow/black wire connects to the positive output of the switch mounted on the brake pedal of your vehicle. The footbrake wire is not the 3 wires that connect the deck to the brain. yes you need to run the yel/blue wire to the switch at the pivot point of your emergency brake. Yes you need to tap into that wire.

Exactly, I have a IVA C801 which is similar to your head unit. I used the wiring diagram from the Haynes manual to hook the dvd player and playstation 2. I like it because you can also hook up a nav system. Btw, did yours come with a black cover?

No mine didnt come with a black cover.  So the yellow black wire comes out of the brain itself then in the remote harness next to the main wire harness? If so then Im missing that harness.  I looked at the brain and it showed a remote harness that had 2 BROWN / white wires and a uyellow/black foot brake wire. If this is so then does anyone know where I would be able to find that harness?

The two brown and white are the remote control output leads. I have not used those two. Correct, there should be another harness that plugs next to the remote output terminal, which is the power supply connector. There should be a bundle of 11 wires, which include the remote turn-on, battery, ignition, and the parking brake lead(yellow and blue). If you don't have that, you could get one from ebay.
