Ok I am mounting one of these Sony motorized units a XVM-R75 7-inch Widescreen Monitor overhead in a F350 Crew Cab. I am planing on using either the metal plate that came with the Bezel trim kit or the plate I found in the Monitors box. but even better yet a nice peice of plywood and screws would seem easier to me...that a aside and still up for debate... I will take some of the side head liner lose. comments?

Another thing is the wireing on this. It seems to take all its wireing to a box that allows Video inputs 2 and 3. Including the main power runs to that box. And that has a power outlet too. For game systems and such. And that would be best placed somewhere in the back seat for the passengers to get to the plug in for games and such. and they seem to have provided ample wire to do that. So the main feed for this things must run together for a while with the heavy grey cord (Two RCA and a multiple pin connector) coming from that box back to the head unit which I guess is carrying power to it? Seems to be anyway. So do you anticipate problems with noise here? I note that there is what appears to be a relay all built into the power run. One switched wire and one hot wire and one ground but these all must run to that switch box first and then back to the monitor. Looks like a realy neat set up but I was worried I see not much of a way for them not to run along side each other for a distance anyway.

Now the other thing is any tips I can get on trimming the bezel. I will have a roof support for a few inches and then drop down into the channel for the rest of the run and I will need to trim that. How to mark it and what to cut it with. I have dremel and such but I want to get a nice marking and good fit.  So any tips are appreciated.

TIA

Phil

Well I worked through all the wiring issues and its working super nice. This is one super nice unit I must say.

I am about to start the Overhead install and could still use input on the trimming of the Pod or Bezel on this unit. I have a hump contour to follow and trim out. Any suggestions or tips for marking it and trimmin it?

Tape the trim bezel with masking tape .  hold it to the roof adn then take a marker and tape the handel of a screwdriver to it.  Then trace around the pod (make sure you hold the pod level) and cut it out it should fit fine.  I use wood bracing  it works alot better.
