Hello,

I am adding  a kenwood dnx7120 plus a backup camera to my truck.  The kenwood has a built in input for the reverse camera plus a wire on the harness which senses 12v from the reverse lights and automatically switches the reverse camera on.  Now the system also has 2 relay output wires which are grounded when switched on from the touchscreen panel.  What I would like to do is hook up one of these outputs to another relay which will pass 12v to the reverse input when switched on so i can turn on the backup camera whenever i want regardless of whether i am in reverse or not.

My question is that when i finish wiring this up, the output of my relay which sends 12v to the reverse wire when turned on, will also be connected to the reverse lights 12v wire.  When I turn this on, will it in fact turn on my reverse lights as well??  If so, how can I prevent this?  I want to be able to switch on the reverse camera  by using one of the built in relay outputs, but don't want my reverse lights to come on when I do this.  Thanks in advance!
