04 suburban overhead black box

Hello,

I went to install my Jensen JMV111 11" overhead DVD player in my 2004 Chevy Suburban and I found a black box that I cannot identify. Does anyone know what it is?

I guess I will have to remote the A/C control Pod. Is there a Trim ring for that?

You need to leave the controls there or the rear heat won't work. What i do is remove the controls from the housing then tape them up good so they won't short out. Then i shove the controls and the black box up into the headliner on the passenger side. The black box is also part of the rear heat control.

Also, Audiovox makes a console for that DVD that is custom fit for that truck. It relocates the controls further back. It is custom fit for what you are doing, but IMHO i like it without, just mounting the DVD where the light is like you are doing...
