I am considering putting a 2din Navigation/radio/DVD unit in a 2006 VW Touareg. I hope to be able to connect the steering wheel controls. Any recommendations on what models are best. Has anyone experience with some of the Chinese brands and if so can any be recommended? I need to have unit compatible with Australian frequencies. Thanks.

Chinese manufacturer = Zero Tech support, No chance of getting parts for repair if they are needed. They WILL be needed. And also you have a 50 50 shot of geting legibe instructions. And when they are legible, they are in chinese.

I know when we do a Toaureg here in the USA the only steering control we can connect is volume and mute. Reson being the other buttons control the onboard computer also and when you program an SWI from PAC it interferes...
