Im just curious to see what you folks play in your DVD systems. I dont wanna be watching movies all the time, id like to play music, but any alternatives other than music DVDs? is there a way to burn digital quality music videos onto CD-Rs?

most burners can write video CDs but the quality is not gonna be anywhere near that of a dvd.  And your in dash dvd player has to support video cd playback, which not all of them do.

Just wanted to add that if the screen is not very big, then chances are your not going to notice the quality of the recording as much between the VCD and a DVD. Not saying that there isn't a difference but if you can view a 12" screen or a 5 " screen, chances are you will notice the poor quality of recording better on a 12" screen than a 5 " screen.
